Fall is an especially great time of year, too. There are many great activities to enjoy during this magical season. Here are a few to consider!

Ernest Homes is proud to be a sponsor for the 24th annual Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival. Hosted each year by the Richmond Hill Bryan County Chamber of Commerce, this lively event packs a punch with a range of entertainment spread across a three-day weekend (October 20-22) at J.F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill, GA. It will feature live music from popular artists like Catie Offerman, Colby Acuff, and headliner Gary Allan. Throughout the event, the family can enjoy a full carnival with amusement rides and arts and crafts along with the most mouth-watering seafood selections.

The fall season at Poppell Farms includes a list of events and festivals! This working farm has acres of fun ready for your family to enjoy with their Fall Harvest Celebration. It’s celebrated from the end of September through to the last weekend of October. Aside from fresh produce from the farmers market and petting farm, there will be 20+ attractions and tons of amazing activities. Take a hayride to the Pumpkin Patch, play Barnyard Baseball, go on Pony Rides, enjoy Catch-n-Release Fishing, run wild through the 10-acre maze, and so much more. This year’s maze is honoring the one and only Reba McEntire. It’s a must-see attraction!

Prepare for a trip perfect for the little ones in your family. Open weekends starting mid-October, this annual celebration at Ottawa Farms will make the fall season special. With over 20 attractions to choose from, you can plan a whole day of fun. Watch the pig races and rubber duck races, go on a hayride, snap cute photos by one of the many photo props, and pick your favorite pumpkin of the patch. Though there will be food available, you can also pack a picnic to enjoy at the pavilion area.

Savannah is a beautiful area, but it has a spooky side that’s especially enjoyed during the month of October in preparation for Halloween. We recommend leaving children under 6 behind for this family fun activity. The Ghosts & Gravestones of Savannah’s tour is sure to give you the fright of your life with a journey on the Old Town Trolley. While hearing the stories of Savannah’s past from your Gravedigger Host, you’ll tour reportedly haunted houses and buildings. This nighttime tour is perfect for family members intrigued by the spooktacular background in Savannah.
